Senior Apprenticeship Field Officer
Australian Apprenticeship Support Services, Mobile role- Adelaide Metro

Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference?

We’re seeking a proactive and collaborative Senior Apprenticeship Field Officer to provide guidance, coordination, and operational oversight to Apprenticeship Field Officers, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, compliant services and strong program outcomes. This mobile, multifaceted, and largely autonomous role focuses on quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, business development, and continuous improvement. A core responsibility of the position is leading and completing apprenticeship and traineeship sign‑ups to a high standard, while also supporting Field Officers to achieve their individual KPIs. The role will also support the implementation of initiatives led by the Field Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Promote apprenticeships and traineeships by securing new commencements and engaging prospective participants and employers.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with employers, RTOs, GTOs, schools, and referral partners to support ongoing program growth.
  • Provide high‑quality, end‑to‑end support to apprentices and employers, including sign‑ups, assessments, and early‑intervention retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with Apprenticeship Field teams to drive commencements and achieve outcomes aligned with funding contracts and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day operational support to Apprenticeship Field Officers.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex matters and issue resolution.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in the Australian Apprenticeships sector.
  • Demonstrated business development, sales and/or marketing and effective account management experience, successfully building and sustaining business relationships and achieving or exceeding targets and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict‑resolution and negotiation skills, with the initiative to identify innovative, lateral solutions.
  • Confidence supporting a result driven team.  
  • Ability to lead by example and influence positive results.

Key screening and requirements: 

  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Possession of a current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive.
