We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Success and Wellbeing Coach with a construction and trade focus to join our Learning team on a Full-time basis located at our Elizabeth Building Links site. In this role, you will provide support to VET in Schools students with complex needs to help them achieve a successful vocational education training (VET) outcome and transition to further study or employment. You will provide guidance and support to foster personal growth and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: - Providing a range of effective Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) to students undertaking construction and trade qualifications within the guidelines of the SWS deed and Operational Guidelines.
- Assessing the student’s living, learning and transition needs.
- Conducting individualised practical and emotional support to students in a proactive manner and liaise with trainers and other key stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with referring RTOs/ Schools to ensure effective achievement of outcomes as per the support plan.
About You As someone who enjoys working in a highly collaborative team environment, you will be passionate about supporting VET students with complex needs. The role is multi-faceted including maintaining and developing relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders to support students to stay in and successfully complete their studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate: - Experience in meeting the needs of people at risk, people with disabilities and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proven experience and success supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve learning outcomes.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Vocational Education and Training sector.
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions.
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to influence and motivate students using a coaching and advisory approach to achieve quality client outcomes.
Key screening and requirements: - Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4–5-star ANCAP safety rating.
- Willing to undertake Mental Health First Aid and Disability Awareness training.
