As a Youth Employment Coach within the Transition to Work program, you’ll deliver intensive pre-employment support to help young people become work-ready and successfully transition into jobs, training, apprenticeships, or education. The Transition to Work (TtW) supports young people who need additional guidance to prepare for employment. This program focuses on building confidence, practical skills, and real-world experience so participants are ready to enter the workforce. Day to day activities will include: - Deliver intensive, one‑to‑one pre‑employment coaching to prepare participants for employment and education.
- Create tailored job plans for participants and review progress at every stage.
- Build confidence, structure, and resilience by supporting individuals to overcome personal and practical barriers.
- Work proactively with both participants and employers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
- Promote participants to employers through effective reverse marketing to identify suitable opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local employers, training providers, and community organisations.
About You - Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage appropriately with young people, including those with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- A motivating, supportive approach when working with young people.
- Commitment to helping young people achieve employment outcomes.
- Experience in youth support, coaching, or employment services (desirable, not essential.
- Ability to communicate, liaise and build networks with schools, education, employment/industry, and community agencies in a professional manner
