We are seeking motivated and outcome-driven Business Development Consultant to secure sustainable employment opportunities and outcomes for participants across SYC’s Employment Services contracts, working throughout the North East Melbourne region. SYC delivers personalised case management, connecting participants with diverse employers and industries to open doors to opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations. With a presence in more than 50 locations across Australia, SYC provides employment services that are accessible, supportive, and focused on long‑term success. About You You will build strong relationships with employers, industry bodies, and key stakeholders across the North East Melbourne region to identify workforce needs and create meaningful employment pathways. As this is a mobile role, you will work across multiple sites and employer locations. Working closely with internal teams, you will support job placement, retention, and long‑term outcomes. Key responsibilities - Proactively engage with employers to source sustainable opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with training organisations and community partners.
- Collaborate with teams to match participants to vacancies, effectively reverse market participants to employers.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business and meet local labour market and industry needs.
- Attend careers and other networking events and coordinate promotional activities to positively promote SYC Employment Services.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: - Experience in sales, employment services, employer engagement, or recruitment, with the ability to create clear pathways to meaningful work opportunities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, target-driven environment
Key screening and requirements: - Must be willing to complete relevant employment screening and to maintain requisite clearances or checks as required.
- Willingness to undertake occasional out‑of‑hours work and intrastate travel as required.
- Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive.
- Be eligible to work in Australia.
