Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join SYC as part of our Employment portfolio, working preferably at our Mount Gambier site, if not, our Adelaide metro sites to provide high quality employment focused counselling and case management services to participants via in-person or telehealth appointments. In this role you will support participants experiencing non‑vocational barriers - such as mental health challenges, confidence, motivation, and life complexity - to progress towards sustainable and meaningful employment outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide counselling, psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions tailored to participants’ needs.
• Support participants to address barriers impacting employment (e.g. mental health, emotional regulation, confidence, motivation, social functioning)
• Deliver brief interventions in line with service timeframes and outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals to external support services and advocate on behalf of participants with services as required.
• Support participants to identify strengths, goals, and pathways toward sustainable employment.
• Work collaboratively with Employment Coaches and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate, timely case notes and detailed reports and/or assessments aligned with compliance requirements.

This role would suit a provisional psychologist or recent graduate looking to broaden their practical real-world experience, develop case management and therapeutic skills, and practice.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary/degree qualification in Psychology.
• Experience supporting individuals with non-vocational or employment-related challenges, including mental health or psychosocial barriers.
• Strong understanding of recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed, and person‑centred practice.
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing, CBT‑informed or solution‑focused approaches.
• Ability to deliver outcome‑focused interventions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and documentation skills.
• Experience in employment services, community services, or similar settings (desirable).
• Experience in completing neurological disorder assessments and supporting accurate diagnosis in line with best practice.

• Possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive

As a Reception/Administration Officer, you will be responsible for the providing high level, professional, efficient administration and support services to SYC’s head office in Kent Town. This role entails supporting SYC stakeholders from a first point of contact perspective whilst performing administration duties for our teams running within head office.

In this role, you’ll proactively support the effective implementation of office business and ensure daily operations of SYC’s head office run smoothly. Day- to-day activities will include:

• Delivering exceptional customer service, providing a timely and accessible first line of contact via phone or from our reception desk
• Ensuring the efficient daily collection, processing, distribution, and dispatch of mail from both the PO box and onsite delivery
• Lodging Kent Town site property maintenance requests as required and coordinate tradespeople or other clients attending the office
• Monitoring and assisting with purchasing office supplies, stationery and kitchen consumables while maintaining appropriate stock levels
• Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment, undertaking First Aid Officer and site Chief Warden responsibilities, including alarm testing and quarterly inspections

About You

As someone with experience in a receptionist or customer service role, you will have a ‘can do’ attitude and an engaging and enthusiastic manner. You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

As a Tenancy Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to tenants, ensuring they understand their tenancy rights and responsibilities and achieve their goal of sustaining their tenancy.

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to join our Rent Right SA team based at our Kent Town Head office. This position is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2027.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with individuals and families renting in public, community, or private sector to prevent tenancy breakdown and homelessness.
• Provide support, information, coaching, and advocacy to help clients understand their rights and responsibilities under their tenancy agreements.
• Conduct targeted financial, tenancy and risk/vulnerability assessments of clients to establish their housing needs and goals.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness and understanding of the role and scope of SYC’s Tenancy Services and its target cohorts.
• Assist clients to advocate with relevant services, utility providers, housing providers and Government departments, to access services and supports.

About You

• Experience in tenancy support, housing services, community services, or related field.
• Knowledge of the SA housing sector, tenancy, and housing legal rights/responsibilities.  
• Ability to engage with people from diverse background and interact effectively sensitively with target cohorts, landlords and other service providers.
• Experience in engaging and working with people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
• Strong communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Time management and organisation skills, able to work both independently and an effective team member, to plan and achieve outcomes and to successfully meet deadlines and KPIs.

For this role, you will need to:

• Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Be willing to work on a rotating roster between the span of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
• Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive.
